
Police are investigating a large-scale drug smuggling case.
12 people were placed under arrest. In total, about 30 people are held as suspects in the case.
The investigation is related to organized crime. According to the police, the criminals delivered large shipments of cocaine, amphetamine and ecstasy to Finland.
In connection with the investigation, searches were carried out at 13 locations in Lappeenranta, Kotka, Kouvola, Lahti and Helsinki.
It is suspected that the activity was organized by the Hells Angels Carelia.
