A retrial in the case against a Pontiac man charged with a murder that happened in the bathroom of a motorcycle club in 2019 has been scheduled for April 23.
Gregory Kincade, 43, is charged in the fatal shooting of Mecca Shea Ramsey, 41, at the Night Riders Motorcycle Club in Pontiac. Ramsey suffered 12 bullet wounds and died at the scene.
Kincade’s trial had gotten underway in February of 2020 in Oakland County Circuit Court, but a mistrial was declared three days later due to a medical condition reportedly suffered by his attorney, Jerome Sabbota. A retrial had been scheduled for last October but that didn’t happen due to COVID-19 restrictions at the courthouse.
Kincade is also charged with intent to commit murder in the shooting of another man, Malcolm Chambers, in the club that same night, as well as firearms offenses.
The trial is scheduled to be heard by Judge Shalina Kumar.
