The Bad Axe Loyal Riders Motorcycle Club is honoring Veterans Day with a dinner on Saturday, Nov. 12.
The Loyal Riders, since being founded five years ago, has put an emphasis on holding benefit dinners and other special events once a year. In the past, the club has held dinners in support of young children around the area.
“We’re a family club and we want to continue help out the community and others,” President of Loyal Riders MC Fred Kinnee said. “We’re continuing the tradition of other MCs around the country.”
On Nov. 12, the club will be hosting a veterans dinner at the “House on the Hill,” located at 2450 Leppek Road, in Ubly. The open night will be a Thanksgiving-like dinner, with roasts, potatoes, and vegetables. The dinner starts at 4 p.m.
“We want to pay something back to the veterans for their service,” Kinnee said. “My son has been retired out of the Army for 20 years and this means a lot to me. To be able to honor them and pay them back for there service is a wonderful feeling.”
