Steel Hammerz Law Enforcement Motorcycle Club brought local motorcyclists together Friday morning for the second annual Suicide Awareness Bike Run.
The 22 mile ride brought participants to the Winery at Pine Lake before returning to Biker Brewhouse in Austintown for an afternoon of fundraising and entertainment.
Despite pouring rain, the cause is one that’s more important to the club than any threat of weather.
“We did it last year, we rode out to Mansfield and there was a tornado, everything else, rain went sideways,” John Farnsworth, president of Steel Hammerz Youngstown said. “We drove a hundred seventeen miles out there, and a hundred seventeen miles back, and we got soaked.”
