Man, 37, shot outside Inkster Cobras Motorcycle Club

A 37-year-old man is in stable condition after being shot in front of a motorcycle clubhouse in Inkster Saturday morning, Michigan State Police report.

Police were called at 5:15 a.m. to the 3200 block of Middlebelt Road, near the Inkster Cobras Motorcycle Club, for a non-fatal shooting, according to the Michigan State Police Twitter page. MSP said Inkster Police received a fight call from the club earlier in the night, and the shooting is not believed to be a random incident.

The shooting victim was transported to a local hospital with gunshot wounds. The shooter’s whereabouts are unknown, and police encourage people with information to call the MSP Metro South Post at (734) 287-5000.

This is at least the second recent case of a shooting happening near a motorcycle club in metro Detroit. Last month, three men were shot at the Boogie Down Motorcycle Club on Detroit’s east side.
