Just days before Memorial Day, Boston police are trying to figure out who would vandalize a memorial dedicated to Vietnam veterans – and why.
Police said the vandalism happened at the Vietnam War Memorial in the Dorchester neighborhood on Thursday. They’re calling it “hate-related.”
The vandal or vandals drew a swastika and wrote hateful messages on monuments, ripped plants from the ground and threw American flags in a nearby creek.
Surveillance video may show a suspect wanted in connection with the vandalism, the Boston Herald reports.

The newspaper also reports the damage was done one day after repairs were completed following vandalism to the memorial in October.
The memorial features the names of 80 servicemen who were killed during the Vietnam War.
Thursday’s vandalism comes after a World War II memorial in South Boston and a memorial dedicated to fallen police officers in the Mattapan neighborhood were targeted in March.
An investigation is ongoing.

I agree with Myth. Fuck the traitors. I knew too many people who returned in caskets. The others either had PTSD or some other body damage. No one goes to war and returns the same. I protested against the Vietnam war because I believed it was wrong. I only met one guy who actually wanted to go and signed up as early as possible. His reason. He just couldn’t wait to kill people. He didn’t give a shit about the war, he just wanted to kill people. That’s just plain fucked up on so many levels. I saw a guy call a Soldier on leave, or returning a “Baby Killer” and a bunch of other nasty shit. Like I said, I didn’t like the war, but I would NEVER do that to anyone who was there. Most didn’t want to be there. After that Soldier was gone, I followed that loud mouthed ass and decked his pitiful fucking ass. Beat the crap out of him. Yep, he got his ass whipped by a 17 year old. He was about 6″ taller and definitely outweighed me. But I told him first what a complete jerk he was being and if he kept it up someday, somebody was going to kick his ass. He made the mistake of getting in my face and talking shit followed up with a loud FUCK YOU. So I started by breaking his nose. Then I kicked his crotch. Then his kneecaps, ribs, and on and on. He deserved that ass kicking and I was delighted to carry it out. He most definitely was not expecting that from a “GIRL” but, surprise!
