About 100 bikies and their associates have been monitored closely by police from Kenwick to Pinnaroo today during a funeral for a dead bikie member.
Up to 40 police kept a close eye on the bikies as the massive contingent of riders made their way to the two locations.
It’s understood today’s funeral was for a member of the Outlaws bikie gang.
Detective Superintendent Tony Longhorn said between 35 and 40 officers watched the bikies closely and managed them through various roads to ensure they followed road rules.
“We received information that a funeral was going to happen today…it was a number of clubs (involved) but predominantly the Outlaws motorcycle gang,” he said.

“Historically there is a disregard for the road rules for these particular individuals.”
But Det-Supt Longhorn said the bikies had been well behaved so far.
All of their activities and movements had been filmed.
“There was no incidents reported (but) we will have a police presence throughout the evening, we will monitor their activities,” he said.

As an American Biker, I find it Hilarious that the Aussies Term for Bikers is ” Bikies”. In America, if anyone calls an 1% er an “Bikie” they’d be Taught a Valuable “Life Lesson” the Hard Way.

Oh no! A disregard for road rules by over 100 club members! 🙄… and no incidents.. shocking.. maybe the 40+ members of LEOs should have been monitoring gang members in the hood…

Unless the author of this news report is trying to piss these guys off, he might want to learn how to spell. And why the hell do you refer to the Outlaws as a “gang”? But all the others as (here’s how you spell it, so pay close attention now) BIKER (not bikie dumbass) clubs. I’ve met a few of the Outlaws over the years. And as far as I’m concerned they’re a group of brothers that formed a Club out of the love they share for riding hardcore.
If I upset the poor author of this story then I must say GOOD! Now back to school youngster, spelling is kind of important in your line of work.

I have been to an Outlaw funeral and the only disrespect was the police presence. The Club members were like any other people mourning a loved one. The last I knew MC stands for motorcycle club not gang.
