KENNEWICK, WA- Close to 100 motorcyclists with the Bandidos Motorcycle Club stopped by Saturday and dropped off hundreds of coats for the Coats For Kids Coat Drive.

This is not the first time the group has donated. Brad “Boom Boom” Barrett said they have given coats to the drive for the past seven years.

Season 2 Episode 29 Has Motorcycle Protocol Outlived its usefulness

Barrett said they make it their priority to come back and donate more coats every year.

“We’re part of the community… we live here. Our neighbors might need a coat, their kids might not be able to stay warm this winter, and if we can help do that what a wonderful thing to be able to do,” Barrett said.

While the Bandidos publicly call themselves a club state authorities often refer to the group as a criminal gang Police cast wary eye on ‘outlaws’

If you’d like to help out and donate you can drop off a new or gently used coat at our station or at one of the donation barrels located throughout the Tri-cities and Yakima.

  23. I dont think know much about any of the mc clubs but I do know as a kid growing up in south Texas the Prigits I believe were their name were in the Red and Yellow club. They were very good to us neighborhood kids. They showed us their bikes and were very respectful and helpful to our parents. There is good and bad in all of us. I applaud those who try to help others for what ever their reason. People change and people struggle with a variety of challenges bikers are no exception. Thanks for the good you all do.

I remember when I was a little girl I had to wear boy hand me down clothes from the neighbors kids. Many years I had to wear jackets with broken zippers, missing buttons with odd ugly ones replacing them, with matted fake fur good trim , stains, obvious rips sewn shut or a denim patch sewed on it and usually 2sizes too big , they smelled like pig shit because we all grew up on farms in Iowa. I never got a new coat or one for a girl. I can just imagine the excitement and joy these kids feel when they see a whole bunch of Banditos hauling in a truckload of winter coats knowing that one of those is just for him or her from an saint on the side. Know one knows better then a biker how much it SUCKS to be cought outside in the wind, rain and cold shivering your ass off feeling miserable. That is pretty significant for some kids knowing you all care about them by keeping them warm and feeling special when their own parents don’t or can’t. I’m glad they can see for themselves that their Banditos Buddies are just a bunch of big hearted motorcycle riding teddy bears that they can count on. 7 years and thousands of happy kids is a very beautiful thing! Stay safe gentlemen.

  27. This group probably only does this cause they think it will make up for their own ppl they kill or even the others. Smh. I love bikes and have tons of bike family. But I personally knew someone in a affiliated group that was killed and it was by the hands of one of their own.

  28. Fantastic! They’ve been doing this for 7 years! That’s a ton of coats the BANDIDOS have provided for kids! Now, if they could just figure out how to do a “Brains for illiterate morons in Cincinnati” drive…
