LAKE CHARLES, La. (AP) — A Louisiana sheriff’s office says a Texas motorcycle gang leader and six associates are accused in ATM thefts from two Louisiana banks.
The Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office said Thursday that 44-year-old Michael Cupp of Dayton, Texas, was arrested Tuesday in Liberty County, Texas, on a racketeering charge with bond set at $15,000. A sheriff’s office news release says he’s leader of the Brothers East Outlaw Motorcycle Gang.

It says six gang members and affiliates were arrested in September on numerous charges. Five live in Texas, within 70 miles of Houston; one is from Denham Springs, Louisiana, near Baton Rouge.
The ATM thefts were in Westlake on July 13 and August 3.
The sheriff’s office says more than $150,000 was taken.
