WEST ALLIS, Wis. (CBS 58) — What better way for a 13-year-old boy to celebrate a birthday than with a bunch of motorcycles?
Over 100 motorcycle riders and a group of pickup truck drivers paraded through the streets of West Allis Friday to wish a happy birthday to Ralph, who was born with Down syndrome.
Ralph’s mom says it puts a smile on her face to see so many people take part in the celebration.
“I think we caught everybody at the right time,” said Stephanie Nance, Ralph’s mom. “They’re ready to get out, get on their bikes for the year, and people want to get out of the house. A lot of people want to do something nice for somebody.”
The parade was led by a sheriff deputy, and the West Allis Police Department even blocked off traffic to allow the parade to come through.
