MINOT, N.D. — A 42-year-old Minot man faces six charges in connection with a shooting incident between two groups at a motorcycle club party.
Police said Friday, Aug. 7, that William Lucy II was arrested Thursday night on charges of reckless endangerment, unlawful possession of a firearm by a violent felon, two counts of aggravated assault and two counts of possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance.
Last week, police reported they had identified the people involved in the July 26 shootout at the Ice Cold Riders club.
Lucy is the first to be charged. Police didn’t say if more charges were forthcoming.
According to police, the incident began as one group was leaving and one was coming from the club’s “Blacked Out Night” after party at about 2:40 a.m. July 26. An altercation erupted, police said, and eventually led to an exchange of gunfire with three men receiving gunshot wounds.
The men were taken to Trinity Hospital in Minot by private parties. One victim was treated and released, and two were admitted for their wounds.
