JENKS, Okla. — The Tulsa Chapter of the American Veterans Motorcycle Club held a fundraiser at Jenks Riverwalk Saturday evening.
The event lasted from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. and featured live music, a silent auction, a raffle, activities for kids and more.
FOX23 spoke with two members of the Tulsa Chapter of the American Veterans Motorcycle Club, Dragon and Magic Mike.
Dragon said money will be used to support The Forge of Honor Foundation and other local area veteran causes.
Dragon helped found the event and said it started as two things, as a way to help veterans with PTSD and combat related disabilities, and to prevent veteran suicide.
“One was a desire to help better fund some of these smaller military support organizations that were having trouble getting funding,” said Dragon. “And then the second part, and honestly was the fire in my belly around this, military veteran suicide.”
