A Rebel Outlaw Motorcycle Gang (OMCG) president and six associates have been charged with more than 50 burglary, weapon, and drug offences as part of Operation Uniform Neo, established following the alleged theft of several firearms from an Ottaba property at the end of August.
On Friday, September 16 detectives from the Ipswich Criminal Investigation Branch, and the Organised Crime Gangs Group, along with members of the Ipswich Tactical Crime Squad and Taskforce Maxima, executed a search warrant at a Holloway Road residence at Chambers Flat.
Several firearms were allegedly located, along with evidence of cannabis growth rooms and dismantled amphetamine laboratories.
As a result, a 39-year-old Victoria Point man, who police will allege is the President of the Logan chapter of the Rebels OMCG, along with a 50-year-old Chambers Flat man and a 35-year-old Brisbane woman have all been charged with a combined 31 offences, including possessing and producing dangerous drugs (methylamphetamine and cannabis), unlawful possession of weapons, possessing explosives and receiving tainted firearm/ammunition property.
The 39-year-old Victoria Point man is due to appear in Southport Magistrates Court today (September 19).
The two others are due to appear in Beenleigh Magistrates Court on October 12.
