Nine people have been charged with various offences as Cornwall police continues its investigation into a shooting and stabbing that happened in the city’s northwest on July 8
Police said officers responded to the scene on Fourteenth Street West between Vincent Massey Drive and Brookdale Avenue around 8:20 p.m. that night. Police alleged it was an altercation between the Outlaws and Loners motorcycle clubs, in which one Outlaw was shot, two Loners were stabbed, and an Outlaw forcibly removed a vest from a Loner and fled the area. The injured people were transported to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
On Friday morning, Cornwall police, its emergency response team, the OPP biker enforcement unit, tactics and rescue unit, Kingston police emergency response unit, and Ottawa police tactical unit executed search warrants at residences on Champlain Drive, Montreal Road, Arthur Street, Guy Street, and Gulf Street. Three more people were taken into custody and from the eight searches conducted, multiple weapons were seized including two loaded handguns.
