The suspected gunman who killed three people and wounded six others at a popular Orange County biker bar was identified Thursday morning as John Snowling, a retired police sergeant from the city of Ventura.

Snowling, who worked for the agency for 28 years before retiring in 2014, was killed in a shootout with law enforcement.

The gunfire erupted around 7:05 p.m. at Cook’s Corner, located at 19152 Santiago Canyon Road in Trabuco Canyon.

  1. How the hell did he shoot for 20 minutes? Who the hell was still around 20 minutes after the shooting started? Everyone should have scattered and been gone WAY before that.
