Victoria Police have dismantled a significant drug trafficking syndicate in Mildura, seizing approximately 2 kilograms of methylamphetamine valued at over $1 million.
Key highlights from the operation:
- Arrests Made: Four individuals were taken into custody, including a 35-year-old patched member of the Rebels Outlaw Motorcycle Gang.
- Vehicle Interception: A 27-year-old man from Wyndham Vale was arrested after police intercepted a vehicle in Red Cliffs, uncovering the substantial meth haul.
- Property Raids: Subsequent searches in Mildura led to the arrest of a 37-year-old woman charged with drug trafficking. A 38-year-old woman was also detained and later released pending further inquiries.
Detective Inspector Dave Rowe emphasized the impact of illicit drugs on regional communities and affirmed the commitment to dismantling such syndicates.
