The man who was fatally shot outside of the Mandarin restaurant on Fairview Street in Burlington on Wednesday was a longtime member of the Hells Angels Motorcycle Club.
Halton police identified him as 55-year-old Craig McIlquham of Oakville, who also went by the name Craig Brown.
McIlquham was among 30 people charged in an illegal gambling and money laundering investigation two years ago – a case in which charges weren’t proven in court.
The shooting took place Tuesday night around 8:30 p.m. in the parking lot of the Mandarin restaurant at 1881 Fairview Street.
Investigators are still searching for the shooter, and have asked for the public’s assistance in identifying a grey Honda Civic they believe to be connected to this case.
