DELTONA, Fla. —
A Deltona family is mourning the loss of 32-year-old Daniel Marino, who died in a motorcycle crash on Sunday evening.
They are seeking justice and improved road safety measures.
Candles and flowers now mark the site of the crash, with a message reading, “Daniel, Godspeed. Rest easy. You will be missed. I love you. It’s from Da Fam.”
Marino was a member of the “Keeping It Real MC” motorcycle club.
“We lost a personality. Dan was different amongst everybody. Everybody played that role, when he walked in, he light up the room,” said Low, a friend and fellow biker.
Daniel’s older brother, Matthew Marino, described him as the protector of the family. The brothers had just returned from a store trip when the crash happened around 6:45 p.m., less than two blocks from their home. Matthew was driving a car just ahead of Daniel’s motorcycle.
