Two of nine defendants charged in the October 2025 Wawa parking lot shooting in West Norriton have sought reduced bail as they await a joint trial in Montgomery County Court.
George Hripto Jr., 50, of Bridgeport, has filed a petition asking a judge to lower his $500,000 cash bail, arguing the amount is “effectively unattainable” and has caused significant financial and emotional hardship to his family, according to The Mercury.
In court filings, his attorney contended Hripto is a lifelong Montgomery County resident, a licensed electrician, a primary financial provider for multiple family members and does not pose a flight risk, per the report.
A hearing on his request is scheduled for March 3. Hripto previously sought bail reduction following his October arrest, but a county judge denied that request, citing the severity of the charges and the violence involved in the case, according to The Mercury.
