What turned a Canyon County memorial ride into a crash that sent about 15 people to the hospital on westbound I-84?

Saturday’s ride was supposed to be a gathering for a friend who lost a battle with cancer. It ended with dozens of motorcycles and several other vehicles down on Interstate 84 near Caldwell, Idaho, westbound lanes shut for hours, and riders taken out by air ambulance, ground ambulance, and personal vehicles. Idaho State Police say the I-84 motorcycle crash is still under investigation. No official cause has been released.
