Why does one Bandidos chapter president’s federal drug case humiliate the entire club?

A Bandidos member just made motorcycle clubs look bad after the president of the Lubbock chapter was sentenced to 135 months in federal prison. Stephen Glenn, known as “Hot Tub,” a 72-year-old Bandidos member of more than 50 years, pleaded guilty to possession with intent to distribute a controlled substance. Federal agents recovered roughly 3.2 pounds of 98% pure product from a locked filing cabinet at the Bandidos clubhouse that also served as his residence, along with packaging tools and club paraphernalia. The same materials were linked to his house and vehicle. This is not his first conviction—he received a previous federal sentence in 1999. The case raises serious questions about leadership inside motorcycle clubs, why high-purity product was being moved through a clubhouse, and how one arrest gives law enforcement more ammunition against the broader Bandidos organization and other clubs. Northern District of Texas officials stated the sentence sends a clear message that they will aggressively pursue those who traffic dangerous drugs. For riders, supporters, and anyone following motorcycle club news, this case shows how quickly a single member’s actions can damage the entire patch, invite federal scrutiny, and reinforce the “gang” label many clubs fight against. What do you think—did this Bandidos member exploit his leadership position, and how much damage does this do to the club scene? Drop your take in the comments.
