GRASSY KEY, Fla. (CBS12) — A motorcycle gang member from Delray Beach was arrested in the Keys after a brief pursuit revealed he was wanted on felony gun and drug warrants.
Deputies with the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office say 60-year-old John Ray Melvin, a self-identified “Pagan Outlaw” gang member, was arrested on Grassy Key after deputies discovered he was wanted on outstanding warrants from Palm Beach County.
The incident began around 3:15 p.m. when deputies attempted to stop a group of motorcyclists near Mile Marker 58 on U.S. 1. While one rider stopped and was cited for a suspended license, the rest of the group—including Melvin—reportedly fled the scene.
