INDIANAPOLIS (WTHR) – Friends held a vigil Wednesday to remember a mother of five who was killed over the weekend.

Yolanda Bailey was one of seven homicide victims in an extremely violent 24 hours in Marion County.

She was shot working at a motorcycle club on Roosevelt Avenue. Bailey and another man were killed when someone showed up to the club and opened fire.

“It touched me because that shouldn’t happen to no one, but to a person that doesn’t bother nobody…It’s crushing,” said Ramirez Hayes, who knew Bailey.

Bailey joined the Ladies of Loyalty motorcycle club about six months ago. They called her “Yella Gurl” and say she loved her biking sisters and she loved to ride.

“It’s not easy at all. I hurt. My club sisters they hurt. My club sisters hurt real bad because they don’t have their sister. She wasn’t just mine, but she was six other women’s sister that loved and adored her,” said the Ladies of Loyalty president.

Police are still searching for the gunman responsible for the double murder.
