Two suspects are being investigated by police in the Black Presidents Motorcycle Club shooting that killed one and injured two people early Sunday morning, Jasper County Sheriff’s Office Det. Sgt. Jake Higgins said.

The suspects have not been arrested nor have their names been released.

Higgins said police continue to review club surveillance and cellphone videos from the shooting that happened as more than 100 people attended a birthday party.

Police seized cocaine and methylamphetamine charging two men, after recent operations targeting members and associates of bikie gangs

Kevon Williams Jr., 23, of Ridgeland, was killed during the 1:30 a.m. shooting at the club located just outside Yemassee town limits.

He was pronounced dead at Beaufort Memorial Hospital several hours after the shooting.

Two deputies had been contracted by the club for security during the event, Higgins said.

A second round of shooting started as the deputies were providing CPR to Williams.

Higgins said one or more people were shooting into the club from the parking lot. He said bullets were coming through the walls.

One of the victims was shot in the arm, a Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office report says.

The man told police he didn’t know the shooter and believed he was unintentionally shot.

A relative at the event noticed the man was bleeding. He gave the victim a shirt to hold pressure on the wound, the report says.

The relative and several others at the club knocked out a back window to escape from the shooting, the report says. The relative then drove the man with the gunshot wound to a Sheldon fire station in Beaufort County about 5 miles away.

Both of those who were injured are expected to recover, police previously said.
