The donation came from a group of local biker friends who go under the name ‘Clubless’ because they are informal group who like to meet for rides and events but are not a biker club.

Biker Ross James said: “We often have parties whether it be birthday, Halloween or Christmas and on such occasions we choose a charity to support.

“We chose Heart of England Mencap because of the lifelong support they provide to local people with learning disabilities, and because all money raised goes directly to their customers for their wellbeing and happiness.

“We were so pleased to be able to support the charity with a donation of PPE during this difficult time. We all travelled on our motorbikes and we received a wonderful welcome from the staff and residents – even though it was a very noisy arrival.”
