A series of police raids across the North Island, targeting the Hells Angels biker gang, has resulted in 13 arrests, two drug labs shut down, and a horde of drugs, firearms and high-end vehicles seized.
Among the raids, armed police were seen storming a Hells Angels gang house in Palmerston North on Thursday locking down a section of Albert St, between Elmira Ave and College St, about midday.
Detective Senior Sergeant Simon Harrison said the raid was part of a long-running operation targeting the Hells Angels central chapter.
It was the latest in a series of warrants acted on across Palmerston North, the rest of Manawatū, Whanganui, Auckland and Bay of Plenty over the past week.
