LA CROSSE, Wis. (WKBT)– Area bikers are on the road to raise awareness and money for Juvenile Diabetes research.  Hundreds of motorists drove off from Rod’s Ride On Powersports Saturday morning.

To participate in the ‘Thunder Ride’ bikers had to pay an entry fee of $30. New this year, classic cars and convertibles were also invited to get in on the charity ride.

The money raised will go to local hospitals to help treat children with Type 1 diabetes.

One phrase most lawyers (and people in general) have likely never uttered is “you should be more like the Hells Angels”

“All of these people who registered for the ride, all of their registration is going to go towards all the money that we’re going to give back to the hospitals. So of course, we raffle a motorcycle, and we have all these other great prizes as well that all of these businesses in our community donate for this event,” said Jen Buchner, General Manager of Rod’s Ride On Powersports.

A man suspected of killing three members of the Thin Blue Line motorcycle club in a drunken driving crash Saturday was living in the country illegally

The option to ride virtually was also given for those who could not make it because of the pandemic.

Mourners, friends and family have paid their respects to the Canberra commander of the Comancheros bikie gang who died outside Kokomo’s on Sunday morning
