Police have raided a Rebels bikie gang clubhouse on Thursday night in response to a shooting at a house in Port Kennedy belonging to a member who defected to another gang.
The Port Kennedy home of former Rebel Steven Bennie was fired at in the early hours of Thursday morning.
Bennie defected to the rival Mongols bikie gang late last year.
Police have confirmed that a Mongols member was inside the house on Sirius Place at the time, along with a pregnant woman and her five-year-old daughter.
No-one was injured in the incident.
Cutting into clubhouse
Late on Thursday afternoon, police used an electric saw to cut their way into the Rebels’ Bibra Lake clubhouse, a heavily fortified factory unit on Port Kembla Drive.
Other raids were carried out across Perth on Thursday, The West Australian reports.
The Mongols clubhouse in Rockingham and the Hells Angels clubhouse in Inglewood were also targeted in the police raids.

The raids come amid fears of an escalation of hostilities between rival bikie gangs in Perth.
The Port Kennedy shooting, which occurred around 2.50 am on Thursday, caused considerable damage to the home and two cars parked outside.
Detective Sergeant Gavin Kerber said police were looking for a red Holden Commodore and two blue cars thought to have been involved in the shooting.
‘Reckless and senseless’
“We are investigating all avenues at this stage,” he said.
“It’s always concerning when a firearm is used in this manner in a suburban area.
“It’s reckless and senseless, and we will be doing our best to stamp it out.”

Last week the Ascot home of Hells Angels’ Dayne Brajkovich was shot at five times.
Brajkovich, his partner and her seven-year-old child were inside the house at the time, but no-one was injured.
The 41-year-old bikie was responsible for bashing Rebels boss Nick Martin at a Scarborough pub just weeks before Martin was shot dead at Perth Motorplex in Kwinana.
‘It’s always concerning when a firearm is used in this manner in a suburban area.’
Police have not made any link between the bashing and Martin’s public assassination.
Martin’s killer has still not been found.
Detectives are urging anyone with CCTV from the vicinity of Sirius Place between 1.30 am and 4 am on Thursday to contact Crime Stoppers.
