Police fear confrontation between Mongols MC and Hells Angels MC Bosses

The Mongols’ involvement in the active tit-for-tat attacks between the Hells Angels and Rebels may prompt a Perth underworld match-up for the ages: Troy Mercanti versus Dayne Brajkovich.

That’s according to The West Australian’s chief reporter Ben Harvey, who says a showdown between the two bikie figureheads is possible.

There have been fears of a bikie war escalating in Perth since Rebels boss Nick Martin was gunned down at Perth Motorplex in December.

Martin, friends with Coffin Cheater-turned-Fink-turned-Mongol Troy Mercanti, had been bashed by Brajkovich in a separate incident in the weeks leading up to his death. No one has been charged over Martin’s execution.

“If Dayne Brakovich ever comes face-to face with the Mongols figurehead he would surely have it in the back of his mind that history suggests the only person that can kill Troy Mercanti is Troy Mercanti,” Harvey said.

Martin’s death is only one element of increased tension and police activity across the city.

On Thursday, police raided a Rebels clubhouse in response to a shooting earlier that morning at the Port Kennedy home of former Rebel Steven Bennie.

Bennie defected to the rival Mongols bikie gang late last year.

The Mongols clubhouse in Rockingham and the Hells Angels clubhouse in Inglewood were also targeted in the raids.

This latest incident comes after the Ascot home of Hells Angels bikie Dayne Brajkovich was targeted in a drive-by shooting last week. Nobody was injured.
