Motorcycle clubs have had a bad reputation for many years. Twisted Throttles is a new motorcycle club in Paris, and members want to end the stigma of motorcycle clubs being outlaws. One approach to changing the public image is participating in community help projects.
“We do not want people thinking we are bad guys,” said Twisted Throttles Vice President Travis Board. “We want to step up and help the community with their needs.”
Twisted Throttles Motorcycle Club began as a group of friends sitting around, hanging out and wanting to do more.
“I have always had a love for the community,” said Travis Board. “Now it is not only me but us guys as a group working for change.”
The Twisted Throttles have initiated a Thanksgiving Food Drive by setting up drop boxes at Twisted Throttle Saloon in Paris and Route 1 and 36 Cycles in Chrisman. All food collected will be taken to the Chester P. Sutton Community Center and given to those in need. A need the club feels is important.
“No one should go hungry on Thanksgiving,” said Twisted Throttles President Ernie Board.
