Did an Ugly Man Cossacks member really tell a nurse “let him f***ing die” after fatally shooting a rival 1%er Cossacks father and his 18-year-old son in Texas?

The capital murder trial of Romi Frentescu is underway in Waco’s 19th State District Court for the October 2024 shooting deaths of Michael David Morris and Braxton Johnson at the intersection of Mackey Ranch Road and Old Moody Road in Bruceville-Eddy. Witnesses say Frentescu returned to the scene, approached a nurse rendering aid, and told her to let the man die — showing zero remorse.

Defense attorney Russ Hunt Jr. claims self-defense after Morris (a 1%er Cossacks member) allegedly pulled a switchblade and prior harassment, including threats to burn Frentescu’s house and kill his dog. Prosecutors paint a different picture. The case highlights the bitter split between the Ugly Man Cossacks and the “hardhead” 1%er Cossacks that formed after the deadly 2015 Twin Peaks Waco biker shootout, including alleged “smash on sight” orders.

Frentescu faces life without parole. His wife was arrested as a party to capital murder and for tampering with evidence but has not been indicted.
