FX just picked up Sons of Anarchy Legends, but it is not another Jax Teller shoot-em-up. The original cast is coming back playing themselves in a meta comedy that gets hairy, with Katey Sagal, Tig, Juice and more reuniting. Real bikers and 1%ers are already calling it another Hollywood attack that will spawn more wannabes, just like the first series did. This video gives the honest take most influencers will not: a lot of those same “I hate SOA” riders watched every episode in secret wishing they were Jax Teller.

Hollywood has been influencing motorcycle clubs since The Wild One and Hollister in the 1950s. Easy Rider, American Chopper, Biker Build-Off and Sons of Anarchy all left marks on the scene, for better and worse. The original show sold a ton of patches and made everyone want to be in a club, but it was still entertainment. The new SOA Legends revival is the latest chapter, not the first time movies and TV have shaped real outlaw culture.
