It’s official, the Mayans M/C has been picked up by F/X and we will be looking for a Fall 2019 premiere. The first season will consist of a rumored 10 episodes, about 3 episodes shy of what the original series started off with. Personally, don’t think Kurt Sutter knows what the hell he is doing with this serious, smart money would’ve been to go into an SOA prequel or sequel because of the popularity of the characters. In this series, Kurt Sutter is bringing about mostly unknown actors and starting the main one off as a prospect, not the best of ideas in my book.
That’s Kurt Sutter though, thinks he knows what bikers are going to want to see, I guess that didn’t work out all that well with Bastard Executioner he tried doing after SOA and only lasted one season before getting canceled. That’s just like how he turned to comic books to use as a platform to tell stories of Jax in a different time period of his life. Really Sutter? Do bikers look like we read fucking comic books? Sutter in his quest to play he is the ultimate ass will be sacrificing any hope that he has left in the SOA franchise. Whatever he thinks we like for our entertainment, he’s dead wrong, again like what happened with Bastard Executioner, who the fuck goes from a modern piece to the medieval fucking times as a follow up to a successful series?
Here is my prediction for this next adventure Sutter will try pushing off on all of us. It’s going to be a big flop, no one wants to watch a different series after watching the ending of SOA. They want a series that focuses on what the hell happened to Jax’s kids, do they find their way back into the club? Was Jax’s suicide all for nothing? If you haven’t noticed all the internet buzz, that’s what people want to see, not this new crap you will try to shove down our throats.
Even before Sons of Anarchy ended in 2014, creator Kurt Sutter talked about potential future shows set in that motorcycle-fueled universe. Now, one of those shows is actually becoming a reality.

Mayans MC, which is set after the death of Jax Teller (Charlie Hunnam) in the Sons of Anarchy timeline, has been ordered to series with a debut later in 2018. The new series will follow Ezekiel “EZ” Reyes (JD Pardo) as a prospect in the Mayans, a rival club to the Sons. The original show’s cast is not expected to play a major rol–if any role at all.
According to a press release from FX, EZ has just been released from prison and now “must carve out his new outlaw identity in a town where he once was the golden boy who had the American Dream within his grasp.” The series will be set on the border between California and Mexico.
Joining Pardo in the cast will be Edward James Olmos, Sarah Bolger, Clayton Cardenas, Richard Cabral, Michael Irby, Raoul Trujillo, Antonio Jaramillo, and Carla Baratta. Sutter will return to the universe as an executive producer on the series. He will be joined by Elgin James (Lowriders) and Norberto Barba (Preacher), who also directs the pilot–which was reshot in July.
“Kurt Sutter is a master storyteller and Mayans MC has the raw energy and intensity that are hallmarks of his signature style,” FX President of Original Programming Nick Grad says in a statement. “Thanks to Kurt, co-creator Elgin James, and this amazing cast, Mayans MC builds on the legacy of Sons of Anarchy, taking it in a thrilling new direction that we can’t wait for the world to see.”
Though a specific release date has yet to be announced for Mayans MC, chances are the new series will debut in the fall.

I have found Latino Clubs to give the utmost respect and courtesy to this ole greybeard white man. I kinda enjoy the at events. This show panders to the Hispanic community and I predict they will suck it up. That is the targeted audience.
